It is designed for flush installation in drywall surfaces requiring the concealment of the door panel. It is recessed ⅝” to receive drywall. We also have the AT-5020 for use in acoustical ceilings. It is identical to the DW-5015, with its galvanized steel taping bead flange being omitted. It can also be equipped with a screwdriver operated cam latch.
If you want doors for acoustical tile or wallboard insert, we recommend using the concealed frame access panel with recessed door. Our CT access door series is recessed 1” to accept the application of acoustic tile or wallboard to match the surrounding surface. It is manufactured with a 16 gauge steel frame, 18 gauge steel door with 1” recess, continuous piano hinge and white primer coat finish.
